Oscar
OscarOscar, May you finally find the peace and happiness that you so richly deserve. You came into our home, and into our hearts, and in there you will always be. May the sun always warm your back, a hand always rub your belly, and your bed always be cozy. Sleep peacefully Osey.
Love always,

Mom and Dad

Oscar (Oscy)
Oscar Oscy(1992 - 2007)

In memory of Oscar - Oscar was a little guy with a big heart and bark who was very loyal to his family. Never fully realizing he was a dog and not a human, Osc loved being involved in everything going on in our house and like to be picked up so he could see what was going on. From chasing birds in the yard to stealing food from the table, his mischievous nature sometimes got him into trouble but his cuteness always got him out of it. Oscar was very protective of our family and was a great watchdog despite his tiny stature. He definitely didn't act like he only weighed 8 pounds, especially when it came to eating! Meatballs, potato chips, Cheerios and coffee were among his favorites.

Osc loved to curl up with us on the couch and always showed affection; he could sense when you needed some cheering up. He loved to be the center of attention and would get jealous when our mom hugged us. Osc was such a happy little dog, he would wag his tail so hard his butt shook when you greeted him and clapped your hands. We'll always remember running around like crazy in the kitchen with him when he came in from the yard after eating some 'magic mushrooms.'

Oscar was part of so many chapters of our lives and gave us many happy memories. We'll keep him in our hearts forever. We'll miss you little man, but know you're with Pop sunning your tummy in the sun and enjoying endless supplies of meatballs. We love you Oscy.
Love,

Lauren & Jillian

Oscar TI adopted Oscar in the fall of 2004, after my beloved Winnie had passed away. I had fallen in love with him at first sight, when I saw the picture that his foster-mom Mardy had posted on the DRNA site. He seemed to be smiling, and that grey face of his was so sweet. Mardy always referred to him as her “little seal,” and I could definitely see that, too.
Oscar was so loving and accepting that he soon became the official greeter of the household. Everyone that came to know him remarked how lovable and wonderful his personality was. He was absolutely a chow-hound, and always felt he had to accompany me whenever I went into the kitchen. He would wake up from a sound sleep at the sound of the refrigerator door or cabinet opening. Sadly, Oscar’s big heart began to wear out, and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 13, 2008.
I am so thankful that “Oskie” was able to be a part of my life, and although his time with us was all-too-short, I will never forget my “little boy.” I know he is healthy now, begging for treats at the other side of the Bridge, and some day I will be there to rub his face and whisper “I love you” into his velvet ears again.

We recently had to put our Dauchshund mix (Spunky) down on 9/11/09. We were heartbroken and thought we'd give time before adopting again. Not even two weeks later, we went to the Dauchshund Rescue site of North America as we missed having a four legged friend in our house. There we found a galore of beautiful Dauchshunds who needed a good home and someone to love them. It was there that we met two wonderful people who love and cherish these wonderful Dauchshunds, Foster parents Lois & Red Armstrong. They connected us with our beloved Otis on 9/30/09. He is everything we could ask for...we are pinching ourselves and saying how lucky we are!

Thank you Lois & Red Armstrong. You are both amazing people and the love and dedication to these animals, goes without words can say.
Our love,
Penny, Peter & "Otis" Post-Freeman
