On 24 June 2008 at 5:30pm, our little baby girl Braitsen Whitney passed away. She had been a cancer survivor for over 2 1/2 years. Through her fierce strength, determination, and courage, the last 2 1/2 years of her life were as fun and joyful as the rest. Always intense, fun-loving, and friendly, our girl excelled at athletic endeavors such as agility, earthdog, and wiener dog races. She once made TV news coverage in one of her winning races. She earned many titles in her sports but always loved just chasing the tennis ball in the backyard until she was exhausted. Braitsen was born in Topanga Canyon in California, and while she traveled extensively with our family across much of the United States and Canada she always remained a California girl, seeking out the sunniest and warmest spots to soak up the rays. She was not too fond of our Colorado winters but did love hiking in the mountains in the summer. She is preceded in death by her beloved brother Bart. She is dearly missed by her pal Big Sur and her mom Beth Klucher Whitney and dad Ross Whitney. Live on baby girl.

Thank you,
Carol Whitney
