"Hi- my name is Nova and I landed at a local shelter with my sister Darla after my family fell on hard times and could no longer care for us. They really loved us and knew we deserved a great life so here we are, ready for our happily ever after. I am a very sweet red, piebald, long haired dachshund. I'm 11 yrs young and weigh about 14 pounds. I'm very healthy and active for my age. I am house broken and crate trained and if told to go into the crate, I go very easily. I am very friendly and will roll over to get my belly rubbed once you start talking to me. I like to play and roam in the yard and also lay in the sunshine. There are no cats at my foster home, so I am not sure how I would do with cats. I am a grabber when it comes time to pass out snacks, so if I am close to another dog, I will try to grab their snack also. My foster mom always separates the dogs when it is time to eat, so there is less chance of disagreements.
