| "Jake is my name and playing ball is my game. I love, love, LOVE to play ball/fetch. I bet you will get tired before me. My foster mom plays ball for a while and then my foster dad takes a turn. I love running free and investigating my foster mom's back yard. I get along great with the other dogs but can be protective over my ball. I do not like the crate and will bark very loud if I have to go into one, so I would prefer someone who is home a lot or works from home. I would not do well living in an apt. I like to be close to my fosters and will bark when they leave the room and I can not find them. I love to cuddle and also love to sleep under a blanket. I am a very sweet and smart little boy! " Jake is 11yrs YOUNG and 11lbs-could stand to gain a pound or so. He is a very active, confident and typical stubborn doxie. His owners had to give him up and miss him terribly. I believe that he had a back episode in his prior home so prefer a doxy savy home that will not let him jump off furniture, will carry him up/down stairs and has dog ramps/steps are part of their "furniture". Jake wants to be with his people and hates being crated so I prefer retired or work from home adopters. He really loves walks and playing so he is definitely NOT a couch potato but he does love to snuggle with his people. He was recently neutered, had a dental and now is ready for his retirement home! Jake's adoption fee is $150 but waived for adopters 60 and over. Must be willing to drive to Frederick, MD to meet/adopt Jake. |
