| PJ is a really sweet boy. He gets along well with my dachshunds but is not a fan of my larger bird dog. He will bark at her if she comes near. PJ was heartworm + but has since been treated and is now on Heartguard. He has severe arthritis in both his front legs and will need to take medication (prevacox) for this for the rest of his life. He does have difficulty walking and has good days and bad days. He does take pain medication on his bad days. He sometimes will need help if he is in pain getting to his food or water. He likes to play but the other dogs can tend to knock him over if they get too playful. He loves plush toys but is VERY protective of them once he gets one! He will not want you to take it away. He is a sweet boy though and he is recovering from all of his medical issues. We are uncertain of his age. The shelter guessed 6-8 but the vet thinks 8-10 due to his teeth and severe arthritis. He has had a dental but has an oral nasal fistula that can get irritated if not cleaned. He has done very well considering all he has been through. |
