Chance is a friendly little dachshund-chihuahua mix who found himself in a noisy crowded shelter because his owner gave him up when the family no longer had time for him. He was scared and withdrawn so the shelter staff contacted DRNA to help him. When we went to visit him, he was shaking out of fear. Thankfully, he turned into a totally different happy dog when he arrived in his foster home! He likes all the dogs and is very friendly with his foster family after he figured out they were nice people he could trust. He would probably do best with adults who know they need to go slow to gain a dog's trust. His ideal adopter is probably an adult female; he is far less trusting of males. He definitely needs a securely fenced yard to feel safe in and doggie buddies his age and size to play with. He loves his foster brother, Buddy, who is also available for adoption. Please be Chance's hero! His fee is $275. ****Applicants must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Chance.**** |
