Biography
Beautiful sweet Jakki was run over by a car and left for dead by the side of the road. Her finder took her to the local shelter in Texas but they didn't seek vet care for her. Finally, her rescuer took her to the vet where they discovered her pelvis was fractured in four places. Fortunately, they said she could recover with crate rest and medication. Jakki is walking now but needs to stay away from stairs. After her confinement period, she will be spayed on August 23 and if all goes well available for adoption two weeks after that. She is a delicate-looking red smooth girl who gets along with all dogs but we are recommending a home for her without boisterous young dogs. She needs a home with a fenced yard, no children or visiting children and only dogs her size. She is loving as can be and sleeps in the big bed with no problem. She dislikes the crate and is working on housetraining. She does understand to potty outside. Also, for such a small dog, Jakki has a very big bark! ***Applicant should be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Jakki. Her adoption fee is $275.****
