| Max is one cool little dog. He embodies all the great dachshund qualities but most of all he is a happy, goofy, lovable dog. He is recovering from a back episode that left him unable to use his back legs. Through confinement and medication, he is back on his feet and can walk surprisingly well and even run. This dog does not skip a beat. His neuter and dental are scheduled for the middle of July. He will be able to go home soon after that. He seems to be housetrained, likes to chew on a kong, is great with other dogs, likes to go for walks and enjoys exploring in the fenced back yard. He is even good with the cat in his foster home. Actually, he seems to be quite naïve about cats (and their claws) so he requires a dog-friendly cat. He loves attention and will be your shadow. Please give Max a chance to show you what a good boy he is! Max sleeps on a comforter next to his foster mom's bed. He is currently gated in the kitchen while she goes to work. We don't know if he's crate-trained. ****Applicant should be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Max.**** |
