| Cecilia Parker (Sissy) Hello, Darrrlings. My name is Cecilia Parker, named after the glamorous movie star of the 1930’s. My foster family thought I needed a name to fit my beauty and tribute to my Daddy. He would have enjoyed the happy comedy of Micky Rooney and Lionel Barrymore in the “Andy Hardy” films a lot. I will come when called Sissy. The people I’m staying with say they are happy and sad to have me as their guest here at Casa D’Rogers resort for Wayward Wieners. They say happy because I’m with them, sad over why. My Daddy was very old, and when the white truck with spinning red lights took him away, he never came home. My siblings and I waited for days. A friend came to feed us and let us outside but never said what happened to Daddy or where he was. Eventually, taken from the home and put in a shelter we all worried if Daddy was looking for us. That’s when we knew our lives were changing. My siblings and I went our separate ways the next morning. I found myself in a strange house with other dogs I didn’t know. The lady that brought me with her placed me in the arms of “Doxie Daddy.” They both were smiling and whispered they would love me and care for me while looking for my new home. I tried to tell them I have a home and a nice old man who loves me very much. I need to go back home because he needs me. They must have known from my look I needed to know why I was with her and Doxie Daddy. They held me close and told me; my Daddy is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. The tears on their face showed me how much they care and want to help me. Because I know my Daddy is waiting for me and will always love me, I feel better about falling in love with a new family.
