Sammy is a shy senior dachshund whose owner passed away leaving him and his brother and sister without a home. The owner’s kind son took them in and contacted DRNA to help with them. All in all, they are adjusting well but Sammy is the most timid of the three. He walks well on a leash, likes his crate and is used to a fenced yard. He will need a dog buddy in the home or to be adopted with one of his siblings. He does know to do his business outside but may have accidents if left for too long. He needs an owner who is home more than not. Sammy will need some TLC because change isn’t easy for him. It will take him awhile to adjust to a new home. Patience will be key.****Applicants must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Sammy.**** |
