| Morty, is a 4 year old dachshund, pug, corgi mix. While with us he has made huge strides to becoming a great pup. He is potty trained and very submissive. The crate training has been going great. He still needs coaxing with a treat to go in, but is content with his special bone and blanket while in there. He would make a great addition to a family preferably with other dogs in the household (so he has a playmate while your gone) and/or someone that is home more often then not, such as a retiree or stay at home mom or dad. He is content being a couch potato on those lazy days and likes to run around the house with the dogs and play. He was originally surrendered to us 10/24/15. He was on Craigslist listed for free and luckily we found him and got him off of there and into our care. The owner gave him up due to her current living situation; even though she had him for about a year. Previous to her Morty was her grandfather's, but due to his declining health she took him in. He is certainly a down to earth, well mannered sweetheart that just wants attention and love. Don't let the 30lbs fool you, he thinks he's a 10lb lap dog that just wants to be where you are and to make you happy. He even loves to keep you company while you do dishes and laundry which is an added bonus. If he had opposable thumbs he would certainly lend you a paw. Morty is great around kids, cats, men/women and other dogs. He walks great on a leash & listens well. Morty absolutely loves going for car rides especially if its to doggy daycare, getting pampered at the spa, or a quick trip to the local pet store. He shares our bed with our pack of pups and he is loving every minute of it. He loves to burrow under the covers and lay at your side (we think this is the dachshund in him). When he does sleep and snuggles into bed he tends to sleep on his back with his back legs crossed sticking straight up in the air; an adorable attribute for sure. With the holidays over and everyone's hectic schedules finally slowing down, we are hoping that you take a look at this sweet boy. Come by to meet him and possibly ring in the new year with him by your side. He's hoping for a lot of visitors to come and see what a great catch he is. His foster parents would be glad to set up a meet and greet. He is ready to start 2016 in a new home. He is currently being fostered in Seven Hills, OH.
