Jill was taken to the vet to be euthanized, but happily the vet didn't agree to this, and asked if Jill could be surrendered to rescue instead. The family was very happy to do that. You see Jill may be a senior, but she is a happy and fairly healthy senior. Her bloodwork was great for a senior, and although she needs a dental, which will be done March 30th, Jill is in pretty good shape. She does have the "blue haze" to her eyes, but she can still see pretty good. Vet could find no cataracts or glaucoma. Jill loves food. LOL, yep, what Dachshund doesn't. And she loves long naps. She will venture around the yard a couple times a day. She loves to sit in your lap and be loved on. She even loves car rides, and will again, want to be on your lap. Jill doesn't bother any one, and is pretty easy going, but she won't let the other dogs push her around either. She has been pretty content to sleep in her crate at night, but I bet she would love to snuggle in your big bed at night. So who wouldn't want to give this sweet senior girl a nice retirement home? We sure hope someone will. It will be a rewarding experience for sure. Because nothing is like the love of an old dog. Jill is being fostered in SW PA. about 65 miles SE of Pittsburgh. Please fill out an application at www.drna.org Her adoption fee is only $150.00 |
