Biography
Teddy is one of nine dachshund-chihuahua mix puppies (known as "Chiweenies") looking for their forever homes. There are six males and three females. They were born on or around November 28, 2014 in Texas. They were abandoned there with their mothers in boxes left by the side of the road. Wonderful people at the shelter took them in and contacted us to help them and how could we resist! The puppies will be available for adoption when they are 12 weeks old. They will be up to date on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The puppies are very sweet, playful and adorable looking. Because they are so young, they will do best with an "at-home" adopter so they won't be left for long periods of time. They will need a securely fenced in yard but no invisible or electric fences. Adopters should be willing to take them to puppy obedience class and provide daily walks and play time so they can continue to be properly socialized. They will need another small young playful dog in the home or to be adopted as pairs. No small children or large dogs, please. They could easily be hurt because they are so small. Adopters should have experience raising puppies. ****Applicant must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt these pups. Their adoption fee is $350 each.****
