Daisy is a very loving black and tan girl with awesome bear paws. She is a very vocal, happy, senior, black & tan doxie. She always has a dance & wagging tail for you. She will poke or talk to you if she feels your attention is waning, like a lot of dachshunds, she wants to be the center of your world. Daisy is crate trained, good for her baths, behaves at the vets office for nail trims & exams. She is not destructive, gets a long well with a multitude of 4 legged foster brothers & sisters. She loves her special orthopedic bed in her crate and will often put herself to bed when she wants a time-out from all the activity. She came to DRNA from a family that could not care for her due to their own health issues; overweight, a slight back issue, had a thyroid conditions, bladder stones, horrible skin & dental issues. She has had her dental, on low-cost Soloxine 2x daily for her thyroid, her coat continues to improve with the thyroid treatment as well as bi-monthly baths with medicated shampoo & rinse. Her back issue has resolved through meds and losing weight. |
