Biography
Hi! My name is Magnolia, but my foster mom calls me "Maggie Bean". I was picked up as a stray in Magnolia. Texas (hense my new name). My friends at DRNA stepped up to help me because when I was tested for heartworm at the shelter I tested "positive". In Texas a diagnosis of heartworm is a sure death sentence because there are just too many dogs that need help so the oldest and sickest are euthanized. You are NOT going to believe it but when I arrived in Maryland they retested me for heartworms and I did NOT have heartworms. I can't begin to tell you how surprised everyone was to learn the news. I was told treating heartworm takes months and that I was going to have to have all my activities restricted once my treatment began. I can't begin to tell you how happy everyone is especially me. The only medical attention I need is a dental wihich is now scheduled. Once I have my dental I will be ready for a forever family.

I am about 10 years old but am playful like a much younger dog. I have a lot of life in me and a lot of love to give. I am a definite lap dog and I love to cuddle. I like kids and get along well with my foster sister. I am still working on potty training but am getting better every day!
