| Jake is a special needs puppy because he has seizures. He was born on June 15. He has been through a battery of tests and a cyst was found in his brain. It isn't malignant but it is causing seizures which are being controlled with Keppra given three times a day. He needs an at-home-adopter who can give him his medication at 8-hour intervals but that's not the only reason that he needs someone home. He also needs to be socialized so that he grows up to be a good canine citizen! He needs a fenced in yard to run in and a young dog in the home who loves to play. Jake will require an understanding adopter who may have had experience with seizures in the past. Just like any puppy, he is an adorable little guy. ****Applicants must be willing to travel to Ellicott City MD (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Jake.**** |
