| What up, dawgs! Zen Zoey is in the house! I was adopted from a shelter in December by a nice couple, but something went wrong (I think divorce, sadly) and here I am in DRNA Fosterville, where it is actually quite nice so no complaints from this girl! Nobody knows much about what happened to me before then except that I had a really weird name. (Those chip things will tell all your secrets!) Anyway, I am a nine years young female dapple dachshund. I weigh 14 pounds, and I love to explore. I like people and other animals, but am also fine just sitting with you on the couch while we watch TV. I love that bounty hunter guy … I wish I could remember his name. I went to a dachshund meet up where a few kids played with me, and I was okay with that. Even though I am okay with other dogs, I wasn’t happy to be with that many all at once. I’m pretty quiet and introverted. I will sleep with you, but I am also okay to sleep by myself as long as I have my soft blanket under which to burrow in true dachshund style. And also like most dachshunds, I am a great watch dog! I bark to let you know someone is coming, because I want to protect my peeps! Otherwise, I am pretty quiet. Sometimes I like being outdoors exploring. Other times I just want to lie around in the house and chill. You don’t want to leave anything within my reach, though, because I just love to get into things. I am smart and spry enough to jump on a chair to get something on the table if it smells good or looks interesting. We are working on my potty habits which are improving as I observe what the other doggies do outside. Oh yeah, and importantly, I also love going for car rides! So if you’re looking for a teddy bear shaped like a hot dog, and you have a yard and some nice fluffy chairs that you don’t mind sharing, I would love to have your home be my forever home.
