| Hi!! My name is Carlton. I am a light red smooth dachshund. I am around 12 years old. My foster mom just adores me because of how tiny I am. Her nickname for me is PeeWee. I only weigh about 10 lbs. I'm trying to gain just a little weight. I'm a slow eater and occasionally I skip a meal. Mom wets my food with water to soften it because of my teeth (or lack of). I go for dental surgery in mid April. I heard them say that I may lose all my teeth. Yikes! I get along with other dogs. I was surrendered with Stryker #11360. My foster mom has 4 dachshunds that I live with. We all pile on the dog beds together but I really love it when there's a blanket because I will disappear under it. I love to cuddle, and snuggle under blankets. I am also a couch potato. Mom says I'm a little "crotchety" (whatever that means). I growl a little sometimes if another dog comes near my bowl while I am slowly eating. I also get a little uptight if they try to snuggle up too close to me on a bed or they try to take my blanket. I just let them with a little growl. I have not bitten or snipped at another dog or human – I don’t have many teeth! Mom can come to my food dish, and I don't mind. She tells me she doesn't eat dog food. I get along with kids. Mom has a 10-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy. The girl loves me so much. She loves how small I am. The first time I saw her I fell in love with her and hopped into her lap and she cuddled me to death! I am crate trained. I will hop right in without a problem as long as I have a blanket in there to burro under I'm a happy boy. I am house trained for the most part. I did mark when I first came to my new foster home but I stopped after a few days. I will need to be taken out on scheduled potty breaks. I am located in Central Pennsylvania. My adoption fee is $150.00. That’s a steal for a sweet little guy like me. I am fully vetted and up-to-date on all vaccinations. I will be ready to go after my dental in mid April.
