| Rosie was rescued last year from a puppy mill in NC. Unfortunately, the adopter who nursed her back to health fell on hard times herself and had to give Rosie up. Rosie never had a chance to experience the life every dog should have. She will need an adopter who is patient and kind and willing to let Rosie become friends at her own speed. She will more than likely be always fearful in new situations and will need a lot of understanding. She does take a bit to warm up to new people. She will be a bit scared and shy the first few days at her new home but will end up being a lovebug. She loves to be in your lap and loves cuddling after she gets to know you. She would do best in a quiet, calm home without children as she is startled by loud noises and quick movements. She walks well on a leash. Rosie stays nicely in a crate. She is going to make someone a wonderful friend. She needs a fenced yard and would do best as an only dog. ****Applicant must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Rosie.**** |
