You probably think I’m named after a hot dog, for obvious reasons, but my foster mom says that I’m such a classy gentleman that I had to have been named after Oscar de la Renta! I’m a big boy with a tender nature. I love my two dachsie foster sisters! We romp and play and always share toys, food and treats – especially Kraft cheese!! I even get along okay with my two foster sister cats. Sometimes I chase one of them but she makes me do it! My favorite part of the day is when my foster mom comes home from work! I am so happy to see her and when she relaxes on the couch, I like to lie on her chest with my ear close to her mouth. That way I can hear her whisper to me that she loves me. Sometimes she tells me about her day and I give her little kisses to cheer her up. She gives me really big hugs and then I curl up beside her so she can rub my back. Belly rubs are okay with me too! My foster mom says I’m just a big silly cuddlebug! I wish I could say that I was completely housebroken, but I’m not. I will try to use potty pads although my aim isn’t always so good. My foster mom is working on this with me. I’m a little afraid of stairs, loud noises and I’m not real crazy about my foster dad’s work boots. Changes make me nervous so just remember to give me a little time to adjust – I promise you’ll love me big time! Oscar is located in SW PA. about 50 miles SE of Pittsburgh, PA.
