| Trouble started for Sophie & Spot when they decided to go for a romantic stroll on the boardwalk at the beach. Animal Control was called & arrived to find they had no ID's on them, so there was no way to give this loving pair of dachshunds a ride home. It was off to the shelter for this plump pair of love birds…. not nearly as romantic a location as the beachfront even though they were allowed to share a "room" together. They sat at the shelter for over 3 weeks waiting for their people to collect them and no one ever showed up. DRNA was contacted and they are now in foster care. They have now slimmed down to a healthy weight. They are both very sweet and loving couch potatoes and enjoy the company of other dogs (including big dogs). We felt for some time that they were a bonded pair but now feel that they are fine with the company of a doggie buddy.
