Hi my name is Dozer and I am an adorable little bow-legged fellow. My old mom decided that she didn’t want me anymore because I do have a bad habit of growling when someone gets in my personal space. It’s just a growl to protect myself – It’s not like I bit anyone.I have been in foster care for almost a year!!! I would really love a home of my own. I especially didn’t like those little people all over me. Foster mom is working on teaching me patience and understanding. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who is willing to give me a few days to warm up to them. I love a lap for snuggles, a yard for running, and I really, really, really want big bed privileges. Foster mom doesn't let me sleep with her; she says she doesn’t want to get me in the habit if my new Mommy doesn’t like bed partners. I am not crate trained, but I will burrow in my blanket when told to go “nite nite”. Foster mom is trying to convince me that the crate is ok but I’m not believing it yet. I know where to do my business, and I will stand by the back door to let you know that I need to go out. I am a talker. I am use to a leash, and found out that harnesses are so much more comfortable than a leash around my neck. I am still very active and would do best with a fenced yard. I get along with my whole foster family (4 other dogs & 4 cats) but I would be really good as an ONLY dog too – I like to be the one in charge. I would also be fine with well trained little people – the 5 year old that shows up at Foster moms is really fun to play catch with. Don't you need a sweet little boy around? If so, I am the dog for the job. |
