Biography

Hunter was rescued once before when he was surrendered several years ago because his original owner couldn't afford the back surgery he needed. A kind hearted woman provided the surgery and Hunter has recovered beautifully and lived with her happily, but now she is very ill and can no longer take care of him. He does sit down a lot, but he also loves to walk and run all over the yard. He is a very happy, lovable boy who loves to explore the yard but is very people oriented. Hunter came to us overweight at 28 pounds, but is now a sleek 17 pounds. He still has an occasional problem controlling his bowel movements a side effect of the back surgery, but he knows to go outside and usually makes it. He is such a wonderful boy who has overcome so much in his life it's easy to overlook the occasional slip up. He will be the best buddy you have ever had!!! Because of his propensity for weight gain he is still on a weight control diet here and probably should continue on it.
