Biography

Rocky has just arrived at his new foster home and is being evaluated however, we can tell you already this is 1 big hearted lover boy. His favorite pass time is definitely giving kisses.... in fact, you can hardly get him to Stop! But then there is nothing wrong with being glad to be here. This sweet & extremely handsome young man once lived chained in the backyard year round & had to compete with a much larger dog to get any food. He is now beginning his search for the Perfect Forever home so he can share his kisses with a family all his own. He gets along well with his foster siblings, though prefers that they respect his need for a little personal space. He lets them know when they get just a little to close, with some low grumblings & mumblings. He is definitely a shadow dog and LOVES to follow his foster dad the best!!! This is no ordinary handsome boy this guy is 20 solid pounds of muscle all determined to wash your face off. His size is that of a Standard Dachsund, just a little on the small side of standard.

He is having about one seizure per day that is not proving to be any trouble. And food changes excluding all grains from his diet are in the works to see if we can elivate this all together. It should be noted he stays dry during his brief 2 minute seizure. No mess involved. He walks on a leash very well and likes to go to pet store. He is crate trained, & sleeps in a crate at night but clearly would love to have a BIG bed & humans of his very own to share it with him. PLEASE, do not let this lovable boy down. Do you have room in your heart for this love bug?
