| UPDATE: Week 3 Todd is coming along very nicely. His handler continued to work with him to adjust to being a member of the pack and Todd has done really well this past week! Todd's handler is taking his time with his training regimen because of his short attention span. But, in just three short weeks, Todd can sit and do his downs really well. "Todd trusts me so we'll work it out. It's a slow process but he has already come a long way." Another handler who "has had the pleasure to work" with this pup this week, says that he's really smart, doesn't pull when on-leash, and has very good recall. Todd doesn't like the heat we've been experiencing, so his handler has been careful to make sure that this pooch is in his comfort zone. He knows that when he gets a nudge on his hand, Todd has had enough of being in the great outdoors and that it's time for him to curl up on the cool floor of their cell and relax. Speaking of the great outdoors, as we've learned, Todd doesn't like bird feathers or brown leaves in his path. This week, he did show a fondness for nature. "I don't know what Todd's thing is with worms. He'll go in the yard and dig them up and then he'll try to roll in them." Needless to say, Todd's handler is keeping an eye on him since he doesn't think that rolling in worms is the best thing for his pup. Todd continues to be a sweetheart to those around him! He has fans on the block who want to pet him. Todd is doing a very good job at waiting for them to say hello to him before getting his pets. Todd's handler also has found that giving him a bath is a real pleasure. He just picks him up, lathers him up and rinses him off. Todd also dries off very easily. His handler takes him out to the doggie yard and within ten minutes, he's dry! Luckily, Todd didn't find any of those worms in the yard to roll around in, otherwise, we know that there would have been another bath in his future! You're a sweetheart, Todd!
