| Attention NAP LOVERS and COUCH POTATOES! Gus may be senior (we think he's around 10, but a "young" 10), but this little man is still full of life and love, and his favorite pastime is snuggling. Gus was a stray who was never claimed, but has fit beautifully into his foster home. He's housebroken and crate trained (with a touch of resistance, but saves his barks for when he really needs them). Gus gets along with other dogs, and seems to love all people, men and women. He has not been around children or cats, but is very laid back so we feel he would do ok with older kids who know how to treat a dachsie properly. Gus is animated and loves to "talk" by whimpering at you in conversations. We like to address him as "Gus Gustavson" the man around town.... His ears look like a helicopter when he perks them up - so cute! He is a lovebug who likes to lay nearby on the couch. He LOVES treats and will sit or whatever you want him to do for one. At the vet he's done very well - he is heartworm negative, and getting cleaned up from a few scrapes on the street but is shaping up nicely. He's even had his teeth cleaned! He's healthy, happy and ready for a forever family of his own. He loves everyone and does good around children and cats. Could Gus be the love you've been looking for?
