Biography

Hello! I'm Angie! I'm a 6 year old doxie from Mississippi. You are probably wondering how I got to VA. Well, long story short, I was seized by HSUS from a hoarding situation. A Washington, DC shelter helped me out, but I just couldn't take it in there. All the strangers and big dogs. It frightened me! So, they reached out to DRNA and here I am. I was really timid at first in my new home and wouldn't leave the comfort of my crate and I kinda liked the soft cozy blanket :) After I kept these new people under a close, watchful eye, I decided they must not be so bad. Afterall, the other doxies in the house seemed to love them. Well, the other doxies were right! My foster mom says that I have really come out of my shell and to tell you the truth, I can't get enough of them! I love sitting in laps, belly rubs, kisses, and sleeping in the big bed! During the day, I hang out in my crate and wait patiently for my foster parents to come home. I don't mind, it's really nice there, but I can't wait to find my forever home. When you first meet me, I might be a little shy, but I will warm up quickly. Please be patient with me as I am still learning the basics of walking on the leash and housetraining. If you would like to open your home and your big bed to me, please start the application process. I can't wait to meet you!
