Biography

Fritz Otto or "Fritz" is a beautiful, incredible dog! He is absolutely house trained, and let's you know when he needs to go out. He uses the doggie door, but really likes company when he is outside. He has been neutered and had a dental and is in excellent health. He loves chasing a tennis ball in the yard and brings it back for more. He has learned that playing with the balls is a special treat. He loves walks, and being close to his human. His social skills are amazing--he does well when meeting other dogs, men, women, and children. He has adapted to having other dogs in a household. He might be a great addition to yours if your dogs are in his size range. Fritz is not comfortable with stairs. Dachshunds shouldn't do stairs as a general rule, and his body does not lend itself to more than a step or two.

Fritz Otto was surrendered by his owner to a friend with instructions to find him a good home. Fritz's owner subsequently died and the friend who could not keep him for economic reasons decided that DRNA was the best option. Fritz has been a "Man's Dog" for his first 7 years. He is doing great with a woman, and most other dogs, but he would prefer a fenced yard and an adopter who can help him stay active with regular walks to keep his manly figure.

Fritz has lost his human. Can you be the one he wants to adopt?
