| Forrest here. My story is so sad it might make you cry. I came from this horrible condemned home where apparently all kinds of awful things happened because some of the other dogs didn't make it. Only my little daughter and I made it out, and she has found a good home already. That experience taught me never to trust anybody, and I trusted NO ONE until I was rescued by DRNA. Foster Mom is the sweetest, most patient person in the world, and slowly she taught me that I did not have to growl or snap at strangers, and that there are people in the world who will love me and treat me like a special person...I mean dachshund. Anyway, she gave me some anti-anxiety meds and they have helped a lot. I bonded very quickly with Foster Mom, and I shower her with love and kisses. She has helped me tremendously with socialization and she says I should get the Most Improved DRNA Dog Award. My perfect forever home will probably not include children, since their sudden movements still startle me, but I am good with dogs and cats and I do warm up to men as well. So if you have a heart for somebody like me and can continue to show patience and love, I will make you happier than you ever dreamed. PLEASE CHOOSE ME!
