Biography

Hello, my name is Wilson. I am a distinguished gentleman that is looking for a forever family. My foster dad rescued me from a certain demise at Animal Control, and I am quite thankful for it.

My foster parents say I'm such an amazing dog, and I'm so glad they are happy with me! I walk really well on a leash and I am gentle with food. I'm still working on housetraining, but what doxie isn't! I do well in the crate, so there is no worry about that.

I LOVE to hunt! While I haven't caught anything yet, I'm just waiting for the next warm day so I can dig.

I have had multiple "cat scans" and my foster mom isn't sure if I am cat-safe or not.I had a little too much interest in some kittens at a foster event, but at another event, I was right next to kittens and didn't respond.

I really like these adoption events because mini-humans coming up to me and I LOVED it! They tasted so good and I was giving them kisses and wagging and bouncing off the ground so I could get to them. They're awesome!

I just want to say that you shouldn't be put off about my age. I think I would be a great family member and I've gotten through that annoying puppy destruction page. I also don't act my age, which is typical for males, right? I have been very subdued and calm at my foster home and just like to curl up and sleep on a snuggley blanket, but when I'm out in public or in a playful mood at home, I put on a show! I bounce and prance and everything else to show people that I don't feel as old as I am :)

I am up to date on my vaccines and I've also been neutered. My teeth are looking great after my dental! I am currently heartworm/parasite/worm negative. I am also recovering from having hernia surgery. Don't worry about it - the only thing I have to worry about is going potty and that can be helped with canned pumpkin, which I love!

Wilson's adoption fee is $150. Check out our February specials on adopting a senior dog.
