| My folks went on vacation and never came back so the caretaker called the animal shelter to come & get me. I was so scared that I snapped at them. Boy, was I lucky the Dachshund Rescue put me in foster care. It took me a little bit to warm up to everyone but now I am just a comical delight…so my foster parents say. I am trained to potty pad now but when it is nice outside I like to explore the yard and potty out there. I play with the other dogs here and get along pretty good. I do get jealous of the other dogs and start an argument so I think it might be best if I am the only dog and have my human devoted just to me…me …me! It is rumored here that I have to butt in all the other dogs’ (9 more of ‘em) business and make a pest out of myself! No doubt it must be true. Foster mom sometimes calls me “Stinkerbell” and laughs at me! Yes…I am cute and funny. Just watch me play with my toys and balls. You throw and I fetch. I’d rather not be bothered with kids…although I do like for them to play ball with me then go home when they’re done. I sharply bark at strangers….I am a real Doxie! I am looking for a human bed partner that will cuddle up to me. I must tell you I have some strange habits: I like to wait until we are ready for bed then I jump IN the toy box, select a toy and give it the ‘old death shake and chew up’ for a few minutes every night. So you might want us to go to bed about 10 minutes earlier before going to sleep. I am very loving and a big kisser…. So here’s the deal: I will be your best companion if you give me a forever home! Don’t forget how cute I am!!!!! |
